Long Trips
We can take groups of 4 to 6 people on overnight trips, for example, to the Skagerrak archipelago, to Sweden or to the outer Oslofjord. If needed, the coastline offers many natural shelters from the weather. In addition to shelter, the coast offers stunningly beautiful coastal communities with their own life clocks. One variation of that is the Skagen cruise, with departure from Oslo on Wednesday afternoon for a cruise directly to the northern tip of Denmark. The journey takes about 20 hours to sail there with slightly over half the trip on the open seas.

About skipper
Day Sem (54) owns and operates the S / Y Zahir. He has sailed from childhood and knows the boat, the coast and the waters well. He holds a pleasure boat skipper (coastal skipper) certificate, and is a sailing umpire and trainer from the Norwegian Sailingasosiation. Many years of experience in racing and cruising, both nationally and internationally, provides guests with confidence and peace during the voyage. With the systems on board the Zahir, Dag, as skipper, handles all sailing and navigation related tasks. However, if group members wish, they can participate and learn the sailing route.

For many years, Day Sem trained and taught children, youth and adults under the auspices of the Oslo Sailing Association. As chairman and board member of the association, he has laid the foundation for one of the most active sports groups in the sport in the inner Oslofjord. This knowledge will benefit our guests on a cruise with Zahir.

Besides a love of the sea, the skipper is also very fond of good food. We can provide catering from one of the best gourmet cuisines, or a selection from a menu of proven ship's favorites. Depending on the weather, we cover the table in the cabin or cockpit. The galley has all the facilities needed to prepare a good meal - and based on seafood and seasonal treats we can create enjoyment at the table.
